What exactly is a summa cum Laude?

In her bio I thought it was a troll job when reading she graduated "summa cum Laude". Right. That doesn't pronounce the best as English. A summer cum lord?

Summa Cum Laude = With Highest Honors.
Meaning she graduated from college with a very high GPA. At my college that would have been 3.9/4.0 or higher.
