Is he the new Chevy Chase
After watching him in Alvin and the Chipmunks, I just though some of his facial expressions and his persona in the movie reminds me of the great Chevy Chase. What does anyone think?

shareI think you must have watched another alvin than the rest of us my friend.
Chevy Chase is a living legend, and jason lee comes NO where NEAR even being close. Now Go wash your mouth out! Blashphemy I say!
did i spell that right?
And Chevy Chase never made a bad movie?
Homer- Oh I'm sorry son. I didn't realise you, Jay Leno and a monkey were bathing a clown.
In the commentary for Dogma, Lee says he stole the "You see kids..." line from Clark Griswald, so it makes sense.
Also, LOL at the guy who said Chase is a living legend. He's just another dime-a-dozen late 70s comedian who was able to grab an audience.
and don't forget to try the dipping sauces. They really bring out the ham.
Ive always seen the Chevy Chase resemblance, right from Mallrats, mannerisms, tone of voice and delivery. And dont forget, he was the original choice as Fletch in the never gonna happen remake!
shareA "Chevy Chase resemblance?" I don't see it. And I hate it when people say "is so-and-so the new so-and-so?" No. They're not "the new" anyone. They're who they are. Jason Lee's movie history is nothing like how CC came up through the ranks, and Chase's humor is more physical prat-fall goofiness...JL is more smart aleck-y and quick-fire, sarcastic wit.

"Questions are a danger to you, and a burden to others." ~Mr. Krabs
I don't really see it. I think Jason's a better actor, although Chevy was very funny back in the day.
shareI see it. Good eye.
