I totally agree. While watching "My Name Is Earl" the DVD for season 1, there was a special bonus show of the pilot (I believe) with an intro by Jason Lee where he's in a robe by the fireplace, without his mustache, and a) I was impressed that he's a really good looking guy, and b) I too noticed the striking resemblance to Ryan Reynolds... and I definitely feel he can be an older wiser Van Wilder, ya know? Both these guys are hilarious.

Man, Ryan Reynolds is just a sad ripoff. I never liked the guy. He essentially plays the same character from movie to movie (or TV show).

Jason Lee has been around longer, and has 10 times more range. In my opinion, Ryan Reynolds has absolutely no range, and essentially relies on the sarcastic/disingenuous acting method for all of the movies he is well known for. He is pretty two dimensional. The first time I saw the guy I was like, wait.. Is that Jason Lee? Why the hell is Jason Lee in this *beep* remake of the Amityville Horror?

I just found out that these 2 are 2 totally different men. And if you think of it, then yes - R Reynolds is the poor man's Jason Lee.
