Remembering Heath Ledger
Nine years ago today, Heath Ledger passed away in his New York apartment. Today is a sad day for Heath fans around the world, and for those who knew him on a personal level - his friends and family, even moreso. He was a fine actor, a fine friend, son, brother and human being in general. He was very down to earth, always willing to give a helping hand to whoever needed it, and always willing to apologise when he felt he needed to, even if years had passed. He was gentle and loving, and this helped him delve into his acting roles and find universal truths within them. When he died, he had been working on his directorial debut which would have starred Ellen Page. We are never to know what kind of director Heath would have been, but being the perfectionist that he was, I'm sure he wouldn't have given up and he would have continued exploring film and other art forms.
Today I will watch a couple of his films (Candy and Brokeback Mountain) and pay tribute to Heath's memory. Heath Ledger RIP.
