She is going to play a new character in the episode "Across the Sea." In terms of importance, the character made the producers "nervous that they wouldn't find the right actress." The role required "incredible presence", and Allison had the "strength we needed."

It is rumored she will play as MIB's "crazy mother".

She did a great job. Looks like she's the original smoke monster, considering the way she killed that village and sealed the well.

That was her?!

I knew I recognized her from somewhere. I even thought once or twice "Is that Alison Janney?", but then I thought that it was most likely an unknown actress. Wow, she did a great job.

If she's not the original smoke monster, how did she know what would happen if someone entered the light cave? How did she kill all the villagers? How did she seal the well? How did she have magic powers?

She was a smoke monster but probably not the original considering she said they have been protecting the island for a long time.
