Kudos to whoever cast Janney in the role of the mother/grandmother. One of the funniest lines I have heard on tv in a long time is her comment to the landlord "well, we wouldn't want the rent to go higher". You had to hear it to appreciate the comedic delivery. It was pure joy. She is outstanding.

I know what you mean. I thought she was ok with all the other things she's done. In Mom she's fantastick I didn't realize the range she has. I absolutely love the show with her her in it!!!

One of my all time favorite lines is from 'Third Rock from the Sun'. The fam was trying to convince Dick to quit smoking, telling him it takes 10 years off his life. To which he replied...Yea, but thats at the end of my life, and those years are crappy anyway. I still lmao just thinking about it.
