Who Should Direct A New Thomas Jane Punisher Film?

After the premiere of Thomas Jane's short film Dirty Laundry, I think some people's interest in doing another Punisher movie or possibly a television series have been peaked a little. It is not likely to happen (unless tons of people campaign for it), but I am sure many Punisher fans would be very pleased.

That said, one of the biggest problems Punisher movies have had are not so much the actors, but the people attached to direct, write and make the movies. Thomas Jane's movie had a lethargic pace and flat story development, while Punisher Warzone suffered from terrible dialogue and a cartoony tone that took away the serious edge of The Punisher.

So now I must ask, WHO WOULD BE THE BEST PEOPLE TO HELP WRITE AND DIRECT A GOOD PUNISHER FILM? It is clear Thomas Jane would love to do another one, so if he had a good team to back him up it may have a chance of being worthwhile.
