What's happened to him?

He used to be such a huge star back in the 00's... where did he go?

He's been on FRINGE for 4 years!

He's also got a small part in the upcoming movie, "Lay the Favorite" and its been announced he's been cast in "Inescapable."

Problem is, nobody watches Fringe (lol.) You know, low viewership ratings and all...

And Lay the Favorite is an indie film that probably won't have a wide release.

Well, sure, but I was simply pointing out that he has been working. It's not like he's just been sitting around for the last few years doing nothing, LOL.

Naturally, I wish Fringe had better ratings, and thus more popularity leading to more exposure for the cast, but I still think it's been a worthwhile gig for him.

By the way, keep in mind a lot (most?) of Michelle Williams movies have been indie films. Obviously MW is miles ahead of JJ in the career stakes, so I'm not really trying to compare them, but I am simply saying... indie films are not necessarily a bad career move. Of course, it will depend on if these are decent indie movies or not.

And he can probably only take on small-ish supporting roles in films for now because he doesn't have time to fit in longer shooting schedules due to the 9-month commitment on Fringe. But it seems to me he's now starting to go back to movies, which may mean he's seriously thinking about his career post-Fringe. That's a good thing, IMO, because Fringe may not even get a S5 at this point...

Does he do promotion at all?
I don't remember him being interviewed on TV at all.
I've seen MW and JVDB on late night TV recently. I have even seen Katie Holmes interviewed recently and Busy Phillips.

He's never at award shows to my knowledge.

He may just like a low profile. He has a beautiful gf. Probably makes good money starring in major network TV show. He has all the perks with little to none of the pain. Staying in Canada most of the time probably helps.

I guess the Fletch rumors are long gone.

I really liked him circa DC, so I would like to see him talk/interviewed just to see his personality now.

He's done plenyt promotion fpr Fringe and DC through the years. He's been on Craig Ferguson, Conan O'Brien, Jon Stewart, Letterman, and Jimmy Kimmel in the past.

I saw the 2 interviews on Ferguson in 2009. He is still hilarious and very likable.

I don't understand why some of the big directors don't give him even just small parts in some big movies. JJ Abrams produces Fringe. His gf was in Inglorious Basterds and National Treasure. I would think this would lead to some big screen roles.

He is constantly doing interviews for Fringe, just go to Youtube and look for videos about Fringe from Foxbroadcasting
