Look at Chris Pratt, he was cast as Star Lord in next year's Guardians of the Galaxy and dropped a lot of pounds and gained some serious muscle for the part.

To answer the OP's question I think having Jackson involved with the DCCU would be a good idea, but I'm not sure about him playing The Flash though, maybe Green Lantern?
