The plot is good. The acting is great. But lets face it I have too many shows to watch. The ONLY reason I'm making room for The Affair is Joshua Jackson. After watching the first 2 eps (particularly the second ep) I made up my mind.

Regardless of all that, this guy can act, and the show is getting deeper and more intriguing. The Affair is cable's new True Detective and Josh Jackson is starting to steal the show.

AGREED!!!! The only reason why I'm watching this show. I hate cheaters and I wouldn't watch a show where that's the whole premise. But I love Joshua. I don't even know if he's supposed to be a bad guy or not. Like maybe he was written to be a certain way and Josh playing him just makes him a likable character. Even when we found out his family sells drugs, I'm like, "It's okay, he's doing it for his family."

I decided to watch The Affair because Joshua Jackson is in it but he is so underused and I am hoping that next season he is in the show a whole lot more.

I wouldn't go that far as comparing it to True Detective. I don't even know anyone who watches this show, and I haven't heard anything about it. I only know about it because I work at a place that promotes TV shows, and it was at the bottom of a stand-up cardboard cutout. I didn't even know it was Joshua Jackson on there until I saw him on Conan, and I heard him talking about it. Then when I past by it again I realized I had been walking by him everyday and didn't even notice.

I can't stand the show, I only watch it for him. I don't like his wife on the show, and the man who's having the affair with her. They are not sympathetic characters at all.

It's no True Detective. Just saying.

C'mon. He's swoon-worthy in everything he does! I'm a lifelong fan. I'll watch anything he's in.

Next season we will see Coles side of the story too. I hope this means more screentime for our dear Joshua. :)
