Excellent As Captain Hook

As the title says he was excellent as Captain Hook anyone agree?.

He's excellent in everything! He's very versitale, so he can bring out EVERY side of a character. Since Hook has mood swings like a woman, this comes in handy going from homicidal to depressed and lonely.

It's going to be interesting to see how he portrays Lucius in DH...

I completely agree with everything you say, thank you for replying I didn't think anyone would it has been a bit quiet on these boards the last few days. I also am looking forward to seeing him in DH well I am just looking forward to the film full stop but he has always been my favourite character in the films.

He's been my favorite character for a LOOONG time (almost 5 years). Not only is Jason Isaacs amazing at playing him , and drop dead sexy as hell, but look at the character himself. He's the most dynamic character in the entire series. Think about it, he's the ONLY one who really changes what he wants. They couldn't have picked anyone better to bring these nuances to life.

Sorry, that was my English class side coming out.

Hmmm, I always figured Hook was probably bipolar ( manic depressive) -- also given to violent mood swings and bizarre behavior. At least those are my thoughts on the matter. And I agree, Jason is the ultimate Captain Hook.

(also bipolar and mood-swingy but not -- wait a minute. Let's just have a look here and make sure -- Nope, definitely not a woman)

I absolutely loved his Captain Hook. He is the difinitive Hook for me. He was suave & viscious, seductive & brutal, childish & deadly - absolutely masterful performance and then he went and also played Mr. Darling, another nuanced & vitally important element in the same film. The man's a genius (and surprisingly good at swordfighting with his left hand luckily)!

I've been a big fan of his since first properly noticing him in Event Horizon (must be about 15 years ago now) but I'm sure I'd seen him about in other things (Capital City & Civvies I think) prior to that. His range of projects & characters is constantly changing from a blinding performance as Harry Corbett in The Curse of Steptoe, to a U.S. show (Brotherhood)that I have little chance of ever seeing, to Green Zone in the last couple of years alone. I can always guarantee that JI will be worth watching in whatever he does and although he doesn't seem picky about the types of roles or the medium of the project, if he's in it I can be sure it's going to at least be worth a watch/listen.
