Bland looks and average talent. She was a dumpy little thing during Sabrina, and it's no surprise that she has spent the last 15 years making dodgy TV movies and a low-rated TV sitcom that only managed four seasons on a crappy cable channel.
shareThat's the sad part about Melissa Joan Hart; she was very charming and fun as Clarissa and Sabrina the Teenage Witch, but the truth is, that's all she was good at. She couldn't act outside of that niche to save her life. Hell, she couldn't even manage an Italian accent in "Sabrina Goes to Rome" (long story).

i agree she is very attractive. people call her average, but i find her natural next door appearance to be very appealing. she is quite delicious as far as i am concerned. there's a sweet wholesomeness to her face.
I have to agree. I just saw a Hallmark movie with MJH in it and she was abysmal. She hasn't grown as a performer at all.

shareI used to watch Sabrina re-runs sometime in 2003 when I got home from school. In all honesty seeing her body type and looks on T.V was pretty shocking. Most female leads back then in teen shows had to be not only ''gorgeous'' but super fit. Melissa was barely even close to pretty and had a very un-hollywood body type with wide chunky hips and chubby arms. She looked more like someone who worked at Burger King than a star of a tv show. And yes her acting was.. bland.
While was wasn't extremely fat or particularly ugly she just didn't look like someone meant for Hollywood. Her having a career is odd. She was not talented either.
