& she is probably the most convincing actress ive ever seen cry

I agree completely. She an amazing actress in all aspects, but her sad scenes are the ones that really get me.
shareI couldn't agree more. Most people, when they cry, it's obvious they have those drops in that make their eyes water and it just doesn't read well. But when she cries I just lose it everytime... it never fails. The only other actor on Buffy to ever make me cry was Emma Caulfield in the episode "The Body" when she breaks down because she doesn't understand death. Oddly enough, Alyson makes me cry in that ep too. I don't understand all of the people who say she has no range because she plays the same person in every role. I think she just gets cast as such, it's not her fault that the parts are written that way. Her range is on full display in the BtVS series. Mousy to strong, evil to benevalent, heartbreakingly sad to giddy... it's all there. She's easily the best actress on the show. I adore her... and she's gorgeous and intelligent. She's the full package.

I'd say watch Edie Falco on The Sopranos (for example 4th season finale. She won Golden Globe and an Emmy for this ep.), or Rachel Griffiths/Peter Krause/Michael C. Hall/Frances Conroy/ on Six Feet Under. Truly amazing actors.
Alyson was great in Buffy (I remember her crying in the Buffy episode "Grave". brilliant scene). But people I mentioned are just... better, if it's possible.

To the OP, I just watched Wrecked today for the first time, and you read my mind!! Alyson was so good!! She gets me every single time she has a break down. I mean, Sarah and Emma and others are good too, but Aly's definitely got everyone beat when it comes to that. Seriously, every time she cries I cry, I have no choice. I think she's an immensely talented actress, and definitely one of if not the best on the show.
