you've gotta love him

i never liked his music or him growing up in the '80s because i never listened to metal music in the '80s but now i love and respect him because of his involvement in the friday the 13th series and the a nightmare on elm street series.

reply

Yeah he definitely has around 100 songs I like I’d say.

reply

I never liked him in the 80's because his act was always a lightweight faux-goth imitation of Bowie. He created some decent mainstream rock fodder. But you can't call him metal.

reply

Coop was a melange of Weird Al and Marilyn Manson

reply

Excellent analogy.

reply

Thanks, Onan!!! I ought to mention also that I mean what I said as a compliment to Coop

reply

Oh, and I'm not saying Alice Cooper wasn't an important and innovative figure in rock. But in the 80's us kewl kids dismissed him with a chuckle. I love Marilyn Manson and hate Weird Al by the way.

I admire all three of them(Cooper, Manson, and Yankovic)in different ways. Dunno what kids thought of AC in the 80s, nonetheless in the 90s he was most famous for his affiliation with Wayne's World

reply

Wasn't Cooper doing his thing before Bowie became Ziggy Stardust?

reply

Probably. But he hitched onto glam after Bowie became big.

reply

A lot of folks did.

reply

Alice Loser.

reply

I like his song Poison.
