Acaully, you could much easier say religion is for retarded people, as it has been proven religious people have lower IQs on average than atheists.

Marx himself has said that societies need to go trough capitalism and democracy before communism. All countries that put it into practice; Russia, China, Vietnam...etc were monarchies. Wonder why it didn't work?

If socialism/communism was put into practice is a high technological mature society (unlike 1910s Russia) it would still exist.
