That may be true, but there's often a straight man in comedy acts that doesn't have to do anything besides set up the comics and react.

He's hilarious in Party Down.

I have an easy fix for that: Don't watch anything he's in.

Problem solved.

I find him quite hilarious in all of the "Greatest Event In Television History"s (I also get good laughs out of his super-nerdy moments in "parks" as well).

Also, he seems to be a really funny dude on podcasts I've heard as well, at least to my sense of humor.

That's called being the straight man. Plus, he has some pretty funny responses whenever people surprise him. Not to mention the look on his face when Leslie blew his mind with an anniversary gift.
