WHY HASN'T EMMY BEEN NOMINATED FOR AN EMMY YET FOR SHAMELESS?????????
Sorry, I had to yell to kick out my frustrations after I learned that she hasn't been nominated for an Emmy or a Golden Globe. Seriously, though. She's fantastic on that show. She is playing a character the complete opposite of herself and she is doing a DAMN FINE job with it.
I definitely agree that the show in general, and Emmy in particular is in critical need of some awards recognition. Her performance is just so consistently great on the show that it's incredible she hasn't been at least nominated for an award yet.
One of the problems the show has, is that it's difficult to categorize. It's a drama/comedy, so should it contend as a comedy or a drama? Personally I think it should go in the drama category, but apparently they haven't quite figured out what to do yet. It's kind of in a no-man's-land at the moment.

I really hope she/the show gets some recognition in the next awards season.
That is so frustrating. She's absolutely fantastic as Fiona. I just watched the most recent episode and she's so good, it makes me sick that she hasn't been nominated.
shareHer scene in the courtroom was incredible she had me near tears. I love her on the show and I could not imagine anyone else playing the beloved Fiona Gallagher. I wish she would get nominated too like c'mon throw someone new into the game and stop leaving them on the bench!!!! It's so unfair that this show has got no Emmy love literally lol.
