I don't know. He does have family in Egypt (he said so in an interview with Google about Mr. Robot). I don't see how it's really relevant though.

No idea, never seen an episode of Mr. Robot much less familiarized myself with the bios of the cast. From what I've read of Ms. Rossum, her heritage is complicated(Jewish ancestry maternally; lots of other things otherwise)and in any event, contrary to the hyperpolarized polarized drivel we've been force fed through cable news, such unions ain't unheard of, beginning with the Prophet himself.
