Appearing on What Not To Wear

Shannon Elizabeth will be appearing on what not to wear Thursday Feb 21st. The only thing I heard from the preview was Shannon saying to Stacey and Clinton, " I don't wear belts."

Mabye its to get ratings, because there are plenty of photos of her wearing jeans with a belt and she looks HOT! http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-fEzzq4Zw5Ms/T8n_RYImusI/AAAAAAAAIHg/LrjX7HEA lu8/s1600/shannon_elizabeth_jeans_side_5.jpg

I saw her by chance and boy did I feel sorry for her!!

She looked pretty and seemed intelligent, but like she's about ready to flip out, or implode, from being treated like an object her whole life. She reminds me of a person who got into showbiz young, was treated like a whore, hates it, but doesn't know how to escape.

By complete coincidence, later that evening AMC played American Pie. I flipped by and there she was getting naked and pretending to masturbate. It was as if god wanted me to fully understand this woman.

I wish her luck.

She admitted she is shy and misrepresented on tv, that takes a lot of guts for anyone to admit on tv so I believe she was honest about it.

Whoever nominated her probably feels like an ass because it was clear she would have rather not changed her wardrobe.

Yeah, it was painful at times, but like I said, I never thought about her much, but liked her a lot after the show was done.

When I was a little kid I had a bunch of medical issues, then I got very big, strong, and healthy. However, all the medical stuff has given me a "leave me alone!" attitude when it comes to feeling manipulated. I got the same vibe from her and greatly respected it.

I picture her as a kid getting railroaded into sexual displays, not understanding the impact of that behavior, then being haunted by it.

I don't like belts, I don't like cinchy waists, I don't like loose and hangy, I don't like tucked in...WTF do you like?!?!?!?!?!? God, she comes across as a spoiled rotten little brat!

reply

I came on here only to say that I watched the episode and she was a huge bitch. It's one of the worst episodes I've ever seen on WNTW. The worst attitude. The only person she wasn't nasty to - was Carmindy.

reply

She was not a bitch, she was what I said.

She's a person who tries to control what she can in world trying to control her.

reply

Then I guess she was free to turn down the offer, wasn't she?

She was awful. Outright rude to Stacy and Clinton, and especially to the hair stylist (can't remember his name). She came across as a spoiled know-it-all. The massive 180 she had right before the final reveal to S&C made it seem as if her agent/manager was show the clips from the previous week and realized how poorly Shannon came across.

Shannon was in her mid-20s when American Pie came out, so she was not a child or teenager being taken advantage off. She could have not signed up for the other American Pie films. And she can't complain about her 'celebrity' because she is clearly using it to promote her jewelry line. It was also clear she was cast for this show because they thought it would bring in ratings. That being said, as a previous comment said, Shannon could have easily said no. But I am guessing she decided to do this as a promotion for her jewelry line.

Yes other people on What Not to Wear have been rude and stuck in their way. I don't ever remember any of them being so clearly rude to everyone and not changing.
