Mariska Hargitay - Good Looking + Good Actress

Hey folks,

There are some people out there who simply do not seem to have any joy in life unless they are tearing down someone else. More often than not it would appear it is a guy ripping on a gal. Their infantile rants reveal a sad commentary on their own lackluster lives.

Mariska hargitay is a 48 year old gal who has become a journeyman actress on the SVU show, and that is a pretty good achievement in my eye. Her journeyman work on SVU has limited our opportunity to see her in as many other roles as I might like to see her, but that was her choice, and she has done very well for herself. I would not expect her to make her personal career choices based on what I think she should do.

In addition to my appreciation for her professional work, when it comes to that most subjective idea of what female beauty is, I can easily state that I would be proud to be seen with Mariska Hargitay on my arm as my wife (if I were younger), my daughter, my sister, or just my good friend. I am not quite old enough to be her grandfather, so I would pass on that idea.

Again, she is a good looking gal and a fine actress.

Hey Clint,

Yep, her mother was a good looking gal, but I always seemed to think she was too "showy" or something for me to be attracted to her. Mariska, however, seems to be more "down to earth" than her mom, and that seems to make her more attractive to me. Of course I could be missing the barn by about twelve yards on that idea. For all I know she could be something I might dislike if I really knew her. I am simply basing my uninformed thoughts on the image I have seen her portray over the years on TV. I have never seen anything bad about her except for some of the nasty comments made by some of the folks on the IMDb threads. I'll pass on those comments and take her for what I see of her on my own, and that is pretty good to me. To me, her mom was more of a celebrity while Mariska is more of a journeyman actor.

Hey David,

I totally agree with your opinion of Jayne Mansfield being a bit "showy". I always thought she seemed like she was trying to be a cheap imitation of Marilyn.

I did however see her in an old episode of "Alfred Hitchcock Hour", with Tony Randall. She was sans wig with very short hair and a well-formed sweater -- and I didn't recognize her. I was very struck by the actress' beauty, and when I saw the credits and discovered it was Jayne, I was flabbergasted. She was very beautiful and demure looking, and it's a shame she spent most of her time looking like a harlot. (Albeit a good-looking harlot).

Dave you said that all very well. I love Mariska. As a woman I would be thrilled to have her career and look like her as well. She also seems to have a nice personality. If I was not straight I would have a major girl crush on her.
