Giancarlo... Breaking Bad.... Wow!
I've never seen 'Breaking Bad' until a couple of weeks ago I rented the first season on DVD. I'm currently watching Season 3, had to pause it to come look this guy, 'Giancarlo Esposito' up.
I can't say I recognize him from anything else however... at least in 'Breaking Bad', this guy is 'Awesome'.
This character he's playing stands out such that I want to rent his work to see more of him. If he's done anything like he's done with this character in 'Breaking Bad', I'm on board.
I don't judge an actor by one role, that's moronic, in my opinion. Yet the masterful way he presents this character is a 'Total' stand out for me.
From a subservient, accommodating, even nerd-ish manager of a rinky dink fast food joint, to within a moment, transforming into an intellectual, scary bad ass that runs a chill up your spine, 'AND' with NO grand gesture, simply the slight facial transformation of attitude he delivered in that moment, and 'continues' to deliver what, by far, many actors could and never would be able to do.
Simply, 'he' is the one that has my attention and back pat in this series currently.
Again, I'm only basing on this current role, yet when done with Season Three, I'm defiantly finding other films of his to rent for comparison.
Either way, seeing what he's doing with this role, I give Giancarlo 'Big Props' for his subtle display of a 'real' actor serving the craft proud. What a stand out.
'Thanks' for the experience Giancarlo and look forward to taking in more of your work.
