She did try to get a private divorce as many other celebrities successfully have....but the judge denied it.
She DIDN'T want this publicity. She said it in one of the interviews.
BIG OOPS HERE.......I did see her on one of the evening shows and I must've misunderstood what she was saying outside the courthouse.

Christe made it public bc she wanted 2 embarrass Peter.
It worked as he settled & gae her full custody.
I dont think he shoulda settled.
His kids can read & they'll see it as "my dad sold me for $2.1mill".

I believe he settled so this would no longer be headline news.
Clearly, she made out better in the divorce settlement, but he took the higher road.
I am sure as the children get older they will be mortified over how she handled this.
At the beginning, people felt sympathy for her, but she lost it once she started acting vicious and exposing her children to more pain.
