What is tackier?
A middle-aged man married to a beautiful ex-model who has an affair with a teenager--or a beautiful ex-model who chooses to expose her soon-to-be-ex's escapades for the world (and their kids) to know?
At first when I heard about Cook's infidelity splashed across the media, I felt great sympathy for Brinkley because something so personal, embarassing, and painful shared with the world is horrible. Had she held her head high and quietly got her divorce, she would have maintained her image of dignity and class while Cook would have always been the image of tacky, classless cad. However, her choice of allowing the world--and worse, their kids--to know every sordid detail of Cook's indiscretions for the sake of revenge (or whatever) paints Brinkley in a different light. Her recent actions may just backfire on her. It certainly has made many take pause and pointedly consider her "good girl" image. Maybe behind the all-American sweetheart good looks lies an immature, selfish, self-centered individual. She may think she is embarrassing him, but I think she is ultimately embarrassing herself for exposing this mess. Think of the kids, idiot!
