No honorary Oscar
Every year, when the recipients of honorary Academy Awards are announced, I grumble that Max von Sydow has once again been overlooked, that they must recognise him before it’s too late. Sadly, we shall now never get to see him get his dues. Awards may not be important in the great scheme of things, but seeing von Sydow up on the stage would have been an emotional moment for me.
