Pardon my ignorance, but...

What does it mean when it says American Girl (2002/I)? Or, is it
(2002/l)? I can't tell if it is a capital "I" or a lower case "l". However, I truly do not know what it signifies...no matter which it is.

I'm sure I should know what this means, but I don't. I would be thankful if someone would kindly explain what that means! Thank you!

Sincerely,
Jon Sprague

I believe the i (and it is a capital I) is for Independent
A non big studio project

It means that there was another video/movie/film released that year with the same name. The I is roman numerals for I. So it was the first movie that was released. if it was II it would be the second one. Etc.

So, when it says "II", does that mean that it's very independent?

I think it's Roman Numerals for when there's more than one title with the same name :) but I don't know for sure.

romulan numerals?

When next to a movie title, it's an i for Independent. (for movies with the same name, the use the year to differentiate them)
When next to a person name,(actor/actress/director...), it's the roman numeral indicating that there is more than one person with the same name.

Thank you to everyone who answered! I appreciate the learning curve! Unfortunately, I need a tremendous amount of learning curves. So, don't be surprised if I have to ask other questions in the future. Thanks again.
