awww, we lost another great fun, great character actor.

RIP Walsh

reply

We did. He was in so many iconic movies and did so many guest spots on popular television shows, He was one of the great and enduring character actors of the last Golden Age of cinema. Everyone recognizes him, despite him not starring in anything. Hollywood has changed, and I don't think there will ever be another like him.

I honestly thought he died a couple of years ago.

Same here..

He was just one of those great character actors that improved anything they were in. I loved him in Fletch. He quietly stole the scene from Chevy Chase.

reply

Yeah, he was fantastic!

reply

I thought he passed a long time ago. Loved his acting! RIP

Sad to see this, but what a legacy he leaves behind. I think the first movie I remember seeing him was the diving coach in "Back To School." I ended up playing "catch up" on his earlier roles...he knocked it out of the park every role I saw him in. Great, great actor...RIP.

rip. one of the best.

Happy he lived this long.

I sat next to him in a bar in 2005/2006 and he looked very unkempt. Holding an unlit cigar, between his fingers, drinking beers and jack. This was around lunchtime. Talking to the bartender and the manager.

He was nice guy.

reply

He was a great character but honestly I thoughts he had passed already.
