All Things Ally

So great to see her working again. What episode of ER should we watch for? Guess I failed to click on an Ally watch.

Those who watched "Profiler" know that sensitive and caring is probably her highest talent. Not everyone can carry that off without becoming tedious. IMO, it's more difficult than playing witchy.

I AM surprised she'd go for a too-thin look--unless she's playing a concentration camp role. Hope it was a temporary thing.

In December, it looked as if her contemptuous non-Arab son would do her in on "Sleeper Cell," but I've missed her on the later episodes I caught. How's that going? What a welcome respite she is from the relentless sameness of that series.
In any case. Walker deserves much better than these minor roles.

She should be a star of the first magnitude! She's got it all over the likes of Julia and that dreadful Gwyneth (who I can't even look at! UGH!). Apparently acting is her second career, and her marriage and family are most important. As long as she's happy, then we must be happy for her. However, we're missing out on a lot of great acting while she's at home!

Paltrow so-so, but Kudrow no-no. That is, you'd think Kudrow was a biology major that some SNL guy with connections jump-started. And she won an award from an unwatchable premium series. Doesn't anyone listen to the public? The out-of-sync "Friends" part was perfect for her.

Now, Ally Walker has charisma. I still haven't seen her recent turns on cable. Profiler gripe-- some atmospheric shadows are okay, but there's a limit. Same goes for the golden-glow treatment for period films and actors over forty. A little is enough.
