Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

Was John in there? I can't find him credited with it anywhere, but this guy sure looked like him. When Indy was being somewhat tortured in the temple. John Turturro looked over or up at Indy, whichever it was, and kinda smirked. John was literally within an arms length of Indy, at that time. I'm in the process of copying the movie from tape to DVD, for my own collection. So I can't just back it up and check it out. However, the camera was on him for several seconds there.

Thanks for any answers.

I'm not entirely sure this is the scene you're thinking of, but is it the one where Indy has been brainwashed and says "Kali Ma protects us, we are her children"? The guy standing next to Indy certainly looks like John but is, in fact, not. It's (at least to my understanding) Chattar Lal, a man seen many times earlier in the movie who is played by Roshan Seth.

Hope this clear things up for you.

I'll have to watch the movie again, but I had a pic of John on my comp as I did a pause on the DVD movie. Comparing the pics, I was sure it was John.

I will definitely have to watch for Chattar Lal or at least the character, before the scenes we mentioned. Thanks for the info too!
