Tucci is one of the most gifted actors on the planet

I just saw The Lovely Bones, and I knew I recognized the killer, but I never thought it was Stanley Tucci. Whether he's playing Ceasar Flickerman from The Hunger Games, or Dr.Erskine from Captain America, or Adolph Eichmann, or a hundred other characters, Tucci knocks it out of the park. He's a chameleon, who can portray any kind of persona, and he does it with such ease! He's simply gifted, and a treasure to Hollywood. I'd love to meet the cat, and see what he's like in real life - is he laid back? An egomaniac? A perv, or just a regular guy? Does he have a borderline personality like so many artists (can you say Christian Bale?) Is he an *beep* like Bale, or Russell Crowe (who is also a great talent, and I hope he's a good guy)?

Any film Tucci is in will be good, because he's in it, and really, probably a *beep* director can get a great performance out of him. I can't wait to see what he does next! And if those shirtbags in the Academy don't have the brains to recognize him in ANYTHING, then that shows just how irrelevant the Academy Awards is. But I do hope he wins someday soon, because there is really no equal to Tucci; He's a Tai Chi Tucci, a Stanley the Manley choo choo Tchoocci! Just having fun, Mr. Tucci! I think you rock!!

Stanley Tucci always gives a winning performance!! One of the most diverse actors ever!! I love him as Nigel in 'The Devil Wears Prada.' He's also good as the murderer in 'The Lovely Bones.' Two very different roles.

I agree, he's brilliant, and always a joy to watch.

You mentioned that he makes it seem effortless, which I think is the hallmark of all truly great actors. He does, and to that I would add that I take a certain pleasure in the fact that he seems to choose projects based not so much on whether he believes they're "worthy causes," (like, say, Harvey Keitel) but simply whether he thinks they might be *fun*.

Not every movie he does is deserving of acclaim, but his performances certainly always are. What more can you say about the only American cast among a passel of mostly English Shakespearean actors (Conspiracy) -- and shining so brightly? The fact that he was even cast among them is testimony enough to his skill and talent.

Stanley Tucci is truly in my top 3 most underrated actors of the latter half of the 20th/beginning of the 21st century. He can play anything, and it seems effortless. I've always adored him.

I always enjoy seeing him on screen and I hope his persona is an extension of his personality. I've always enjoyed the movie Big Night, and I was surprised he was chosen to be J Child's husband in Julie and Julia. Kind of a minor role, but he seems like a very sweet person in it.
