Convincing actress

I must say Nancy Travis surely convinced me that she was English when I saw Three Men and a Baby. It was the first time I saw her in anything. The second time I saw her, ironically, was in Three Men and a Little Lady. I didn't realize she was an American actress until I saw her in Passed Away. Talk about being out of the loop lol! Good actress. She had me fooled.

I agree with that.. I am a big fan of Three Men and a Baby/Lady, and I was shocked to find out that Nancy Travis was really American. I didn't believe it when I first found out.

She has unbelievable range when it comes to accents!
Most people cannot "keep up" an English accent long enough to be convincing, and her southern accent in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants is right-on. I've lived all over the south almost my whole life and I've heard almost every southern accent, from hillbilly to redneck to debutante, and she even convinced me. Usually when non-southern actors try to do a southern accent they sound a little off. Another great one is Nicole Kidman:)

I also saw her in Three Men and a Baby/Little Lady, and then later on Becker and then some of her other work. I thought she did great with both accents. Until I looked her details up on this site, I didn't actually know if she was English or American.

Yep Three Men and a Baby/Lady had me thinking she was definitely English. It wasn't until I saw 'Greedy' I realised she's American.
