i would just like to point out that yes torn can be an adjective but it is also considered a verb because it is the past tense of tear. Which does mean the first poster was correct except a better analogy would have probably been Notliving Dead or something of that sort

shareYou are mostly correct except that the past tense of tear is tore. Torn is the past participle of the verb tear, as in "I have torn your dress" or "You dress is torn". Die Deceased should be one of your analogies.
Still, Rip Torn is a very particularly constructed name.
