I don't know. That's a shear brilliance in terms of being drunk. He was so drunk he could barely walk, with a gun (as a lot of people carry guns), and he breaks into a bank. Now, why did he break into a bank? Because he thought it was his house. Why did he think it was his house? Because the bank looks like a house.
I mean, that's an amazing instance of serendiptidiousness (Sp?) there.
