For me, it's Richard Temple from Topsy-Turvy.

I totally agree with Richard Temple and was the first one I thought of. I also really liked Mats from Rock Star.

First saw him in Secrets and Lies. He was heart breaking, a very average person trying to hold on in a very stressful situation. Uncomfortable to view but he was very convincing.

So many great performances. Possibly even undervalued because he's not one of these types who bangs on endlessly about "my approach to a role" and all that pretentious crap. He just seems to keep a fairly low-profile and get on with it.

But overall, for me, he'll always be Barry from Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. 1980's Auf Pet is endlessly rewatchable to me and he's one of the reasons why.
