A joy on Graham Norton

Just wonderful to see her so relaxed, natural and funny - I expected her to be very tricky and awkward and she wasn't at all!

I agree. I was surprised how relaxed she seemed, perhaps helped by having Alex Jennings next to her.

Nobody could have delivered the phrase 'I have the boxset' in the way Maggie did yesterday 

The Lonely Passion of Judith Hearne is the first one that comes to mind. I'd also recommend both Quartet films, as well as Love and Pain and the Whole Damn Thing. Haven't seen Lily in Love and The Missionary. I'd only tentatively recommend Travels with my Aunt as I felt there were some mannered moments here and there. But Judith Hearne is the big one.

It was a pretty good interview compared to the usual puerile fare on The Graham Norton Show, she has a good dry wit. Tonight he made Benedict Cumberbatch gurn to photos of otters and hug a giant teddy bear. Just before the bear was brought on stage, a deadpan Johnny Depp got up and for a moment it seemed like he was walking off.
