I'm terrified Maggie has retired...
You'd think by now there'd be another project lined up, but not even a sniff... Surely people are sending her scripts?

shareThere was a rumour she was going to do a film in March but it turned out to be just that. Maybe she's been sent scripts but has turned them down? Hope she gets something to do soon.
shareOh, I do hope she doesn't consider retiring.
She has worked a lot, with no interruption, from January 2013 to July 2015, and I suppose she was very tired last Summer: anyone would be with such a hectic schedule! She also went through surgery in October.
Maybe she wanted to rest a bit after 2 years of hard work, but I saw her (in the flesh) recently at an event, and the lady looked as fit as youthful...I really hope she'll be back soon with new projects :)
I was as well...reminds me of when Julie Andrews didn't do anything after Shrek 4. I hope not! They're such talented actresses.
shareI dread this a lot also.
I really hope that something would come up after this summer. I really enjoyed her last movie performances. I would miss her terribly.
She is really old and she's starting to show it (mentally). She is slow to process information during an interview, and her speech is also affected. Let the poor lady get some rest; I'm sure she needs it. We'll miss her, yes, but after I'd seen those recent interviews, I'd realized that she needs and deserves her rest.
shareIt's been reported that she has signed on for the theatrical film of "Downton Abby".
I have to disagree that age has affected her mind. I have seen her recently in interviews and she was as sharp as ever. If she takes a moment to respond - she's in her eighties, that's normal!
Dame Maggie appeared at the Purbeck Film Festival last weekend and appears to have confirmed her retirement.
