I have to say, Stellan's English is amazing and very convincing most of the time, but sometimes I tend to pick up a bit of Swedish pronounciation in some words and I was just wondering if anyone else have noticed? Swedes in general speak good english but I can't say that they're particularly good at hiding that thick swedish accent that most people seem to have. I'm swedish as well and it might be hard to hear it when Stellan speaks english if you don't know the swedish language...

I think his english is very good. I'm not familiar with the Swedish language, but when I listen to Stellan talk I can barely detect any accent at all! I love his voice by the way. One of the sexiest male voices I've ever heard. (second to Alan Rickman)

I totally agree with you his voice is the sexiest.It is sooo raspy abd sexy.

Yeah have to say it's pretty good, but if you ask me Rutger Hauer is even more impressive, i mean the dutch accent sounds rediculous and he got rid of it almost completely.

Yeah I know what u mean. Hes good, but it comes across too much. Max von Sydow doesnt do that. Dont know about Peter Stormare coz he always gets to play russians or germans. =)

I just saw POTC2 in Finland (which means in the English original) and didn't notice a thing. And as I tend to notice accents and dialects on people and like to try to find out where they are from Stellan's accent is in my opinion certainly not detectable if you don't pay very close attention (which I didn't... got distracted by Johnny Depp most of the time... :).
