consistently my favorite actor/character in every movie he appears
not sure why that is. Maybe because he plays the aloof, distant, intelligent guy so well.
shareI almost see Skarsgård as a lucky charm for filmmakers. When I see a film with Skarsgård, even if it's less-than-stellar, I know I'll enjoy his performances because they're so varied and yet all seem to have a real core of intelligence. He was even great in Mamma Mia, despite the fact that the film was sparkly schlock and the fact that he (nor anyone else, save for Seyfried and Baranski) can't really sing. He managed to turn something completely silly into something enjoyable. In a bad film, he's good. In a great film, he's sensational.
