He continues to impress. My favorite role of his was his role in 'Ronin,' but I think he was better in this.

He was extraordinary. He approached the role with delicacy; allowing Vanger to seem like a caring, friendly, hospitable helper in the investigations before peeling back the layers to uncover the truth about his character. In the hands of a lesser actor, the shift might have seemed out of left field, but Skarsgård struck a perfect balance with the character, making him seem both welcoming and threatening, sinister yet sympathetic. This was a top notch performance from a top notch actor.

I watched the movie with a friend whose English isn't very good. She didn't really get what he was saying, but she rolled up into a ball next to me and went: "How can he be so nice and gentle and yet so sick and perverted?! He's totally calm!" Even she got the essence of his performance and loved it!

However, I didn't find the being-turned-on-by-open-shirted-hooked-and-tortured Daniel Craig too much of a stretch... *chrm* Did I just type that? *goes-in-corner-for-naughty-girls*.

"I think that God has got a sick sense of humour and when I die I expect to find him laughing."

i have yet to see the english version but how come he is in that one and not the swedish version? it would make sense for him to be considered for his native language version surely?

But isn't it funny that the swedish actor Stellan Skarsgard accepts a role in the american remake of an orignally swedish film? Was it his revenge that he had not been casted in the original version? lol

English is not my first language. Any corrections are welcome.
