I remember the film and I agree, like father like son. Cut Copy are an Australian electronic band which I know nothing about, but they've made the video "Free Your Mind" starring Alexander Skarsgård. The video was posted on Alex's board, and when I watched it, it hit me how alike they are. All I could think of was that he looked like father Stellan. He's wearing a hideous wig though, but besides that, he's as good as his father.

Thanks for sharing this, but the video is so... weird, or should I say full of nonsense. Why did Alex choose to make a video like that when he is already a celeb? Is he a fan of Cut Copy or something? That wig has just brought him back to True Blood season 1, same shallow level.

Yes, it is a bit weird, I agree. I'm not sure why Alex chose to do this video. My guess is that he actually liked the concept with this "spiritual leader" and the "brain washed" followers. As a harsh (and probably not completely wrong) picture of today's society. Taking sort of a stance, he wouldn't do it otherwise. And Cut Copy is a quite popular band.

Being a Swede, I've followed Alex since he was acting as a kid in Sweden, actually firstly Stellan. And I'm familar with the jargong in the Skarsgård Family, so I wasn't surprised when I saw the video. His career in USA is very much typecast, and I can somehow see how he wants to try something completely different.

But my intentions with posting the video was solely because he looked like Stellan, 37.

Sorry to be a little harsh on this video, I know you are just trying to show how alike they are. Hope Alex can do better and quit being typecast in Hollywood. I kinda hope that he really vanished in True Blood, not just disappeared and would show up somewhere like the serie has done to many other characters. Due to that show he becomes famous and now it's time to say goodbye and do something bigger^_^
