He's convinced he's dying and wants President Obama to pardon him:

I think a pardon would have to come from the governor of Nevada, not Obama. Last year Simpson was reportedly diagnosed with diabetes and given 3 months to live, so who knows how true this latest report is (especially since the original source was the National Enquirer).
