Rufus, thank you for Aurolio Zen!!!

This has to be your best performance yet. The role was magnificently portrayed -serious, playful, compelling, and not fooled for very long by anyone! I wish PBS would continue, but unfortunately -not, to the dismay of your devoted fans. Thank you for the opportunity of seeing you play this amazing character!

Yes, it was an interesting new turn for Rufus -- a low-key, modest, quiet, almost bland person who at the same time was romantic, sexy, and very smart and daring.

I can't comment on Sewell as an actor as I've seen him in this and Middlemarch only. Liked him in the latter though. But Zen was a terrible mistake on the part of the programme makers. I don't know if you've read the books but Zen in the books is much more intelligent and shrewd than Zen in the TV series. I was very disappointed. Sewell played Zen as whimsical and without much depth.
The distance is nothing. The first step is the hardest.

Haven't read the series so can't comment. But I really enjoyed the show a breath of fresh of air in the detective genre and a nice part for Rufus shame they didn't do more.
