I love nearly anything he is in including The Holiday. You will always remember his performances. But my favourite is Dangerous Beauty.

Dark City, Taming of the Shrew, and Charles II (mini series) are my personal favorites.

Rufus is also fantastic in Amazing Grace, The Illusionist, Tristan and Isolde...all fairly small roles, but he's great in them.

I really recommend Charles II: The Power and the Passion (which is available to watch on YouTube)

Cold Comfort Farm is also good fun, although not as good as the 1968 BBC version. (Rufus wears far too many clothes as Seth, especially when compared to Peter Egan – all bared chest and tight leather breeches – in the earlier version!)

I think he's great in everything too. Try "A Knight's Tale."

Hello

I have to admit that it is difficult to separate the movie from the actor, especially this Sewell.

I, personally loved "Dangerous Beauty". As an actor, he proved himself to feel ALL kinds of emotions in the movie : a bit timid, charming, soft a bit of a soldier .. and then.. bam!
The end is a revelation. Not only as an actor, but as a fresque of this period in time! And Sewell portrayed a Venitian like no other (of course, he had to speak English!)

I also admire his renditions (documentaries You got yo see the documentary about the poem of Simon Armitage (spelling?), audio books, the way(s) he uses his voice inflections.... It is so refreshing to see and hear someone like him on stage, TV and big screen.

Thanks Rufus,

Davka
