Gay icon?

Anyone else think Chloë falls under the title? I mean, she's been in a handful of gay-themed movies, most notably her powerhouse performance Boys Don't Cry; there's also If These Walls Could Talk 2, Party Monster, and a couple of films dealing with HIV/AIDS.

Typically, a gay icon is a celebrity or public figure who is often embraced by the gay community, and Chloë seems to be. Has anyone else considered this?

Oh yeah, definitely! I totally agree with you. She's one of our modern gay icons.

Im not sure about icon being the right word, but I dig her all the same:)
She is a very good actress and isn't afraid to take daring or controversial roles.

If she's not she should be.

I've loved her since seeing her in kids, years and years ago, and have followed her career ever since.

she is a gay icon!

she's bissexual

Please, controversial roles with gay storylines alone are not enough to make a gay icon nor a great actress.

Bottom line, fifteen years in the industry and she still dresses like something out of a trailer park which is more than enough to kill her candidacy for Gay Icon status.

She's never full-on stated her sexuality, but she has mentioned that she experimented with girls when she was younger, so chances are, she could be. She's always pursued relationships with men, though, from what I've seen.

¡Buena suerte!

She said that she would hook up with her female friends, but never had a long term relationship with a woman. She was quoted as saying she loves women and they're beautiful.

"Listen to reason for once, Selma."
"I listen to my heart."
