danger of actors as producer
This new Dracula on NBC is so bad. Why actors are allowed to be credited as a producer is only an ego trip. they really do nothing except promote their fragile egos.

shareActing is a job and as with any job, it can get tiring and exhausting. Don't blame actors for wanting to branch out every once in a while, to spread their wings. Jonathan could easily start a career as a singer for example, he has a voice of gold.
We've seen too many examples where things have gone to *beep* when celebrities try to add to their resumes. The Dracula series is not one of them.
It's only been one episode, give it a chance.
Sorry I don't think it will get any better for me. I find it so insensitive to the original source material. The production design is very good but the costuming is ridiculous. I felt the same with the Tudors. Castin Jonathan as Henry VIII would be like casting Henry Cavill as Alfred Hitchcock.
shareYou're judging after only one episode? Watch it more. Give it a chance. A lot of tv shows are hard to get into after only one episode. Downton Abbey was like that for me. It took me a few episodes to really get into it. Another example of this is Dr. Who. Both shows are incredible.
As far as JRM being cast as Henry VIII, I thought that was a great choice. I can't see anyone else in that role honestly. I thought he did a lovely job. He's top notch. Completely underrated.
Lina, I agree with you, I can think of several shows it took more than one episode for me to get into it. I'ver seen everything Jonny has ever acted in but it seems he will always be underrated. I think he is a great and versatile actor.
shareAfter watching more than one I know it is bad.Mty opinion.
shareYou opinion is wrong. The show is very good.
