Has he ever played a villian before?

Does anyone know? If so which films? I personally think he would be able to pull off the villain role very well.

Off the top of my head, let's see... In 6 Souls his characters were all evil. Henry IIIV was quite a villain in The Tudors. In Ride with the Devil he was pretty evil. He killed his mistress in Match Point, that is evil. So, yes, he has played a villain many times.

He is playing Valentine in The Mortal Instruments as well. I'm only about half way through reading that series, so obviously I don't know the whole story. Stoked to see him in this role actually.

he plays the villain in 90% of everything he has ever acted in.

So am I! I was excited when I learned that he had gotten the role.

"Don't they know they're making love to one already dead?!"

Love Les Miserables!!!

Jonathan Rhys Meyers plays the bad guys better than any actor around today.

Is this is serious question?? What the hell is Henry VII, if not a villain?

Your fugitive's name is Dr. Richard Kimble. Go get him.

lol He plays them all the time, and his is great in those roles, I remember The Tudors, and more recently Valentine Morgernstern in TMI, also Dracula. There is more. He is great in those roles, his looks compliment that type of role very nicely.
