Dracula Drew Me To King Henry VIII...

...not the other way around, I'm thoroughly ashamed to say. Pity I didn't catch this Masterpiece when it had originally aired. Just seven episodes into the first season, but damned if I wasn't caught - Hook, Line AND Sinker - BEFORE TEN MINUTES HAD EVEN ELAPSED IN THE FIRST EPISODE, NO LESS. Jonathan Rhys Meyers would seem REALLY out of place to me now without a period costume, a horse and a title. Seriously, though, he ought to carry a license to have those eyes of his, as they're simply devistating. LOL Just sayin'... ;-)

Exact same thing here. I hadn't even thought of JRM in years until Dracula started a few weeks ago. Within the first episode of that show and being drawn in by his amazing screen presence, I remembered I'd always wanted to get around to watching The Tudors and figured now was as good a time as any. I literally just finished watching the end of season four last night. Like you, I was hooked from episode one of season one.

Now that I've seen JRM in two period pieces, I've realized that I prefer him in these types of roles.

It'll be interesting to see what types of projects he does further on down the road. Hopefully there will be more of this nature.

Your fugitive's name is Dr. Richard Kimble. Go get him.

I first saw JRM onscreen in May 2010 when season 4 of the Tudors only had 3 episodes left. I immediately was drawn to him and since then I have seen everything he has acted in from a 17 year old in The disappearance of Finbar to Dracula. He is a beautiful and charismatic actor that only gets better with age.
