He used to be so gorgeous and his career was really on the right track (despite being a sincerely mediocre actor) and now look at him! I can remember being, admittedly, very obsessed with him a good 5, 10 years ago but he just seems like he has lost all of his charm and charisma. It's so sad.

shareI agree with you. I suppose it's more of a matter of not playing up what is still gorgeous about him and keeping that ridiculous facial hair. I think whatever substance issues he had really did a number on his looks though, he just isn't making it much better.
Also, he just isn't picking great roles. It seems like he's trying to choose things that might be commercially successful rather than things that are ever so slightly more controversial (if you will) that he would be fantastic for/in.
I think he's lost weight/ muscle mass as well

shareI just wish who ever handles the careers of Ewan or Ryan Gosling would take Jonathan on. I feel like he needs a couple of pushes in the right direction, specifically regarding his acting roles and his appearance, and he will probably have a long and successful career. You know, when you've followed someone and have been a fan for so long, you just want to see them be as great as they can be! So it's just disappointing when it's obvious he is not living up to his potential.

I know, it is frustrating especially if you are a huge fan. as I mentioned, i think it is because he suffered and got depressed that is why he is lately like this. But thankfully he has projects - and i think it is good for him just so he has something to do and get busy and surround himself with people. I hope he gets the Star Wars gig i really do.
Oh I know Ewan is great! But Gosling is becoming a cliche of himself. He got that "Im going to look cool" part perfectly that is all he does lately.
