How did he NOT win anything for 'The Tudors'?

He carries the show and exhibits incredible range. Angry, sad, sick, insane, thoughtful, composed. It's shocking how he didn't win. Luckily the show won some awards.

Jonathan won an IFTA (Irish film and television award) in 2008 for best actor in a tv drama for Season one of the Tudors. He deserves many more.

Amen to this! He was nominated to the best of my knowledge, but it's blasphemous that he didn't win.

Your fugitive's name is Dr. Richard Kimble. Go get him.

Agreed! He is very under rated.

He should be winning more awards. I think Hollywood is hung up on his whole nasty behavior when he drinks. As if other actors don't have worse behavior, like Lohan. JRM isn't even in the spotlight much. He lives very low key when off a movie set. How many times do we really see him falling out of clubs or putting himself in the spotlight. We always see pics of him grocery shopping or clothes shopping. Normal stuff we all do. He was so good in The Tudors. He's the main reason I watched it, because after the first episode, I was hooked from his performance. I had seen him in other movies before, but Tudors really made him shine. He was great in Dracula too, despite what some people are saying. People can't expect Dracula to be the same story over and over. He does it well. Hollywood needs to take big risks with him, because he's worth it. I only watched The Mortal Instruments because of him, and that movie was crap.

I agree wholeheartedly that Jonathan is a very good actor and underrated as well. I first saw him on the Tudors and since then every thing he has acted in. I agree about Mortal Instruments not much of a movie but he was perfect as Valentine. Dracula also needs a season 2 and we are impatiently waiting word on this. I have never thought that Jonathan quite fit the Hollywood mold, he is unique and deserves much more credit as an actor.
