That was a couple of years after popping out a kid but she still looked good, though PB probably brushed out the stretch marks and other damage.
She said she posed to try and boost her career with higher profile roles but it didn't help. In fact many of her friends felt it damaged it to the point where Polo had to file for bankruptcy years later.
But when asked in later interviews if she regretted posing for the magazine, Polo replied she didn’t, saying, “It was one of the best experiences of my life. I'm very proud. We shouldn't be ashamed of the human body. The human body is beautiful, and it's a shame we put such a taboo on certain things. Why be ashamed? It's such a beautiful thing.”
I remember this, and was surprised she did it because it came out right after Meet the Fockers which was a big hit. Kind of surprising that she was so worried about her career at that point because she worked pretty steady during the four years inbetween the movies, including being the lead for a whole season of a show. And after Fockers she was on West Wing for a whole season. Since then, she's worked a lot, but nothing that've heard of.
