Tank Girl ruined her career, or maybe it was

Tank Girl was a cheesy movie but actors can rebound from flops. Lori's mistake was not growing her hair long again. It limited her for being cast for some roles. You always see actors with beard and long hair between movies. It gives them the opportunity to do whatever is needed for the look of thier next role. But thats men. Lori should have grown it out b/c most roles for women you see on film, they have the traditional long hair. The short hairstyle made her look like she might be gay. Nothing wrong with being gay but look what happened to Ellen DeGeneres when she came out. Luckily she rebounded and being gay isnt taboo anymore but I think Lori missed her window. She was great in A League of Their Own.

She had short hair in movies even before Tank Girl. Nothing 'ruined' her career, Hollywood was just being dumb, which is not surprising.

They do vary.

Who said she missed what window? She had four productions last year and another this year. Sounds okay to me.

That's the thing about the internet - they let anyone act like they know something.

I've enjoyed her work and her personal life is her business.

I worked with Lori for a couple of weeks in the early 1980's on the preproduction of a film that was never made (financing fell through). She was very young then and was already her own individual. I think the reason she did not become a bigger "name" in the industry is just a matter of luck. She definitely has the talent, but if you don't get the right part at the right time, you may be still be successful, but stardom may not be part of the picture.

she turned down the lead in SPEED, sandra bullock took over and became a star. Its all about the roles.
